3 day weekend for Buddah’s Birthday. Went to Japan with Hyeon Mi and had a great time. Took an overnight ferry for 12 hours and woke up in Fukuoka, Japan. Just stayed for a single night and then jumped on the ferry back to Busan for another overnighter. The ferry we got an upgrade to first class and had a private room. It was really comfortable and a fun ride.
I’m always in love with Japan every city I see. Bikes everywhere, polite cars not running red lights, no spitting on the sidewalk, no loud adjummas/adjushis on buses and subways, people waiting at crosswalks, everywhere is clean and everywhere has trees, big parks, open land, the amazing food, small efficient useful products and knicknacks. The tiny super clean super efficient bathrooms and hotels. Clean public bathrooms with bidets, automatic seat cleaning, etc. A place filled with automation, maps everywhere, and kind/helpful people. I’d love to live there if I could, maybe it is possible…
We did a lot of shopping and I actually had a great time doing it. Japan sells a lot of quality good, outdoor gear too. I like their fashion a lot better than Korean too. I got a T Shirt a new swimsuit and some other stuff. An awesome thermos some Vans shoes and it all cost about $200 bucks so not too bad. The exchange rate from KRW to JPY is favorable right now.
My highlights were Zauo restaurant for dinner. You fish for your own fish. If you catch it they take $10 off the price. Bring the fish to the kitchen they cut up sashimi for half the fist and fried the other half. Really good and washed down with sake.
The second thing was some government building which you can see below. It was covered with trees. Japan really has respect for green space and sees value it in.
Overall we were only in Japan for less than 36 hours but it was a blast, and we did a lot. Here the pictures
